Tori Elizabeth is a former celebrity wardrobe stylist and is an expert in Sales, PR & Marketing. A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, she attended both Texas A&M University and The University of Houston, where she was accepted into the Program for Excellence in Selling; the #1 sales program in the nation. She then went on to work for major corporations like 3M, and Canon, to technology start-ups such as Augury. Tori effortlessly combines her talents & skills from her diverse background, to now continue to push the envelope and empower women of color as the Founder and Creative Director of The Colored Girl and The Imara Retreat.

Welcome to IMARA 2023! Salam is the local greeting that means “peace”. We will pick you up from the airport then arrive to the desert camp to where you'll get settled in. We invite you to relax, relate & release as we prepare for a life-changing and memorable week ahead.

We'll start our day with a brunch and ice-breaker for everyone to introduce themselves.
We then will indulge in cultural activities, ending the night with dinner under the stars.

We'll start our day with a morning hike in nature. After a beautiful walk we will have lunch with a discussion on sisterhood.

We will head to the city to explore museums, gather for lunch, then check-in to the hotel in Marrakech. Later we will reconvene with a traditional moroccan cooking class for dinner.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES IN THE PACKAGES?
Single Occupancy package is for the traveler wanting a room to themselves!
Double occupancy package is ideal for travelers booking in pairs or in need of a roommate. The bed options are twin (separate beds) or a king size (single bed).
WHERE SHOULD I FLY INTO?
Retreat attendees should book flights to arrive at and depart from Marrakech Manara Airport (RAK). Confirmed retreat attendees will receive flight suggestions to help make the booking process easier.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All travelers will need a valid passport to fly into Morooco. Please be sure to verify that your passport has at least one blank page before your travel date and has at least 6 months of validity at time of entry (June 2024)
Morocco requires some tourists to possess a visa to enter the country and administers those visas online through an e-visa portal. Please see list of countries exempt from needing a visa here.
